Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Michael Butler, operating under the name Kaizen Controller ("Kaizen Controller," "we," "us," or "our"), handles personal information when you use the Kaizen Foam Cannon Twitch Extension, associated web services, and connected turret service (the "Service"). Kaizen Controller is presently operated by Michael Butler as an individual in Washington State, United States.
Information we collect
Twitch information
Depending on the permissions you grant and the context Twitch supplies, we may receive your Twitch channel ID, opaque viewer ID, numeric Twitch user ID after identity linking, username, display name, profile image URL, and whether you are a viewer or broadcaster. Anonymous identifiers beginning with Twitch's anonymous prefix are not intentionally used as durable account identifiers.
Interactions and transactions
We process shot requests, queue activity, redemption selections, leaderboard totals, Twitch Bits product and transaction identifiers, Bits amount, timestamps, fulfillment status, and delivered or failed shot counts. Twitch processes the payment itself; we do not receive payment-card or bank-account numbers.
Device and technical information
For broadcasters and connected devices, we may process turret identifiers, configuration, inventory, connection state, firmware version, IP-derived network information, command and error logs, security events, and device telemetry. Web infrastructure may also generate standard request logs such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and requested URLs.
Information you provide
We process messages and contact details you send when requesting support, exercising privacy rights, or reporting safety or service issues.
How we use information
- Provide, route, and account for turret requests without allowing one channel to control another.
- Verify Twitch authorization, prevent fraud, duplicate transactions, abuse, and unsafe commands.
- Show channel-specific inventory, queues, status, and optional daily, weekly, monthly, or all-time leaderboards.
- Diagnose misfires, requeue confirmed undelivered shots, maintain service reliability, and support broadcasters.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform the Service you request, for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, with consent when Twitch or law requests it, and to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent through Twitch or by contacting us, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
How we disclose information
We may disclose limited information to Twitch; hosting, database, monitoring, and communications providers acting for us; a broadcaster whose channel you interact with; professional advisers; or authorities when reasonably required by law or safety. Broadcasters can see activity associated with their own channel but must not receive another channel's records. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
- Operational and diagnostic events are generally retained for up to 180 days unless needed longer for security, safety, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
- Transaction and fulfillment records may be retained for up to seven years where reasonably needed for accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
- Leaderboard aggregates may be retained as all-time statistics until the applicable account or identity is deleted or anonymized.
- Broadcaster configuration and account records are retained while the account remains active and for a reasonable wind-down period afterward.
- Support communications are retained as needed to resolve the request and maintain appropriate business records.
We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that no longer reasonably identifies a person.
International transfers
The Service is operated from the United States and may use providers in other countries. Where required, we use contractual or other lawful transfer safeguards. Privacy protections in those locations may differ from those where you live.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information; withdraw consent; opt out of certain disclosures; and complain to a data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information that law or safety requires us to keep.
Identity sharing can be managed through Twitch. To request access or deletion, email kaizencontroller@gmail.com and identify the Twitch account or channel involved. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age required where they live. Twitch's eligibility rules also apply. Contact us if you believe a child provided information improperly.
Security
We use measures designed to protect information, including authenticated Twitch requests, channel-scoped device routing, unique device credentials, access controls, encrypted transport, and logging. No system is completely secure. Broadcasters are responsible for physically safe turret setup and access to their own local network and devices.
Changes
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required by law.
